After soothing, talked to Sundancer to start the challenge. Awarded anima, no mount. Wasted money anyway. It's entirely possible that I could have "failed" the challenge, as my kill would presumably been very close to this hidden buff expiring. Four of us tried twice: 1st time: all had buff, only I used glider to get him down.

I was on an spriest, I think with San'layn I would've gotten further since each time I died VE was about s away from being back up and when I used it during his enrage he didn't hurt me at all unless I stood in fire.

Kommentar von CCwow To make things clear. Having the two buffs are mandatory. If you're having the "Sundancer senses you are not its master and bucks violently" issue. You're either missing the Statue buff or not using the Skytrider Glider Good luck to all. How about doing a little touch up to this mount and making is spectacular and live up to its name.

I waited the past two days for around 3 hour periods and it never spawned. Is it potentially bugged or something of that nature?

I let the game idle for eight hours 5am to 1pm while I worked on art, and Sundancer never respawned. No spawn. Waited until maintenance popped, no spawn. Logged in after maintenance and Sundancer was making the path towards the landing area.

Engaged, no mount wasn't fast enough with the kill. Swapped to an alt immediately, did some more art, three hours later, no spawn. Got the buff, used the glider, friend helped me nuke Sundancer under five minutes, got the mount. Came back through the area to fight Ascended Council two hours later, Sundancer still wasn't up. Someone was camping for him, asked me if I'd seen him. Told them I'd made a kill at ish. They'd been waiting since noon, no spawn. I'm glad I don't have to camp for Sundancer again, but it's clear his timer is off kilter.

Best to wait until reset. Kommentar von Jovash This quest is currently bugged. You can manually make the Dancer spawn by going out of bounds west of the blessings altar. Spawning him this way makes you able to interact with it, but unable to jump on to it's back. I camped this for 3 hours without it him spawning the normal way.

Kommentar von Phasha I have tried to camp him in a few ways for some time before getting this mount. From my own experience, I think there is a reasonably efficient way that I should share: Part I: Be prepared For each level-capped character, have at least one Himmelsschreitergleiter ready in bag. For each level-capped character, have the tank or healer specs setup and ready. The Sundancer "hits" pretty hard when you are riding him, so at level 60, minimally you need some healing potions.

For idling characters, log off at the 60,94 shrine in Bastion, so when you server hop, you can readily get the Segen des Sonnenreiters buff from the shrine. The buff looks like a golden orb circling around you. Each buff lasts 30 minutes.

Then fly north, following the shoreline towards the Temple of Purity at 61,80, and look for the Sundancer. The Sundancer appears as a rare elite star on your map, and as a shiny golden flying horse in person. You can also server hop every now and then, because he appears to spawn on different timers on different realms. Let people know in the Bastion - General chat channel that the Sundancer is up and will be landing at 60, Get on your flying mount, fly in, position yourself vertically above the Sundancer, dismount, use Himmelsschreitergleiter , and spam right-clicks on the Sundancer.

Once you are on the Sundancer, spam left-clicks on the extra action button Soothe , and use defensive cooldowns and self-healing to stay alive.

After being tamed by you, the Sundancer will take you to the shrine at 60, I have made many mistakes, such as forgetting about the Segen des Sonnenreiters buff, forgetting to use Himmelsschreitergleiter before getting on the Sundancer's back, waiting for too long when Sundancer is at the shrine because I couldn't assemble a group big enough , etc.

So I complied the above. You can also lazy-camp him at the 60,94 shrine in Bastion. This only works if there are many people nearby. Just don't forget the Segen des Sonnenreiters buff.

Try to find him through realm hopping its what I did. Had it on my first kill : Hurts, so be at least Ilvl Id say and maybe a class that can self-heal. MyNOR is not just a fun project.
